Plenty of fun at Yeoval show | The Land

IT was a wet day out for Yeoval showgoers on Tuesday, but any excuse to get out and about after Covid cancellations last year was taken up by the many hundreds.

Show president Phil Hunter, was “over the moon” with the positive response from the local community, even though horse events had to be cancelled due to 20 millemetres – plus or rain drenching the showground between 4am and 7am that morning.

Among the positives was the acknowledgment of three show committee volunteer stalwarts during the official opening who were presented life memberships.

Joyce Johnson alongside husband and wife duo Elaine and Les Hunter were presented their badges by local federal member for Calare, Andrew Gee, immediately after former St Columbus’ Catholic…
